Rotary District News

April 17, 2023

Information Every Club in District 6450 Can Use

"Join us on May 6th at The MAX for the 2023 District Conference! Register now; admission is free!"

Saturday, May 6 — District Conference
Are you wondering why attending the District Conference is essential? The Rotary Conference in District 6450 and districts worldwide are not just a regular event. It's an event filled with excitement, inspiration, and connection with like-minded individuals who share the same values and commitment to improving the world. This year the conference is for one day!
By attending the conference, you'll have the opportunity to celebrate the achievements of individual Rotarians and clubs and be reminded of the core values and principles that drive us to be Rotarians. You'll witness Rotary in action and see our members’ impact on their communities and the world firsthand.

The conference provides a platform to explore the motivation behind the Five Areas of Service and learn about the remarkable work done through Rotary Grants locally and globally. You'll also get an update on our efforts to eradicate polio and the latest initiatives to promote your club’s and Rotary's public image.

But that's not all. The conference will also showcase Rotary programs, giving you an inside look at the incredible work Rotary members do worldwide. You'll have the chance to connect with Rotarians from across the district, exchange ideas and experiences, and learn new strategies to make a more significant impact.

And the best part? Admission is free! So why wait? Come experience Rotary in District 6450 and beyond, and join us in making a difference in the world. We can't wait to see you there! Take advantage of this opportunity to be a part of something bigger than yourself and positively impact the world. Imagine Together: A Rotary Exposition. See the link to register below in this newsletter. Visit the district website for a calendar of events.

Club annual goals, Rotary International Initiatives, and District Initiatives
How is your club progressing toward this year's goals? Did you assess your efforts toward RI and District focus areas discussed during my club visit? RI's Imagine Rotary initiatives include advancing DEI commitment, creating a welcoming club experience, expanding outreach, and continuing the Girls Empowerment initiative. The District's initiatives include membership retention, onboarding Rotaractors, engaging youth, promoting mental health, building a 'Comfort Kit for Kids,’ and showcasing Rotary and DEI.

As always, I urge you to continue to track your service hours and share a showcase of your work with Rotary and your community.

Yours in Rotary Service,

Ade Onayemi
